Current Sephora Wish List

Since I have more make up than I will ever need, I have moved on to wanting to try tons of new skin care goodies. These three are ones I have wanted to try for a while now. I have a serious love/obsession with Origins, I can't get enough of their products. I really want to try a toner from the line. I also love everything in the GinZing line, the scrub is the only thing I have yet to try. I'm currently using a drug store make up remover, and it's okay but I feel like I could find something better. That's why I want to try to Boscia one!

I know I said I don't need anymore make up but I have been wanting to try Tarte blushes for a very long time. The worst problem is trying to pick out just one color! And the Bite Agave lip mask... oh how I wish it wasn't sold out on Sephora... I have the worst peely lips and from what I have heard this helps.

What products are on your wish list?

Weekly Make up #1

Since I have more make up than I will ever need, I like to switch out my make up bag every week. Normally I get bored and by the end of the week my basket is overflowing with extra stuff I try to sneak in. Note the photo below.

Normally during the week I like my make up routine is quick, simple, and light. Of course things change, some days I feel like wearing a smokey eye, other days I don't want to wear anything but mascara.

This is what my make up basket looks like at the beginning of the week. I try to make my decisions in the early morning as easy as possible.

Here is what I'm using for my base. I start off with the Hourglass Mineral Primer, I'm sad to say I'm not sure if this stuff is worth all the hype. It doesn't do much for oil control, so after I finish this up I'll be on the search for something new. The L'Oreal Nude Magic Liquid Powder foundation is so great for quick application. Takes little to no blending and dries to a nice semi matte finish. I can't say enough wonderful things about the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, other than it's the only concealer I own. I also really like the NYX finishing sprays, I like to use the Matte Finish Spray under foundation to keep my face matte for most of the day. Some days when I feel like I put too much powder on, I use the Dewy Finish Spray.

For blush and highlight I'm trying out the Be a Bombshell The One Stick in Sunset  and I'm loving the Revlon Skinlights in Bare Light. The One Stick has been okay so far, I might review it later after I have given it a fair try.

I recently bit the bullet and finally picked up the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette, I have stared at it every time I take a stroll past the make up section. (I conveniently found a coupon as well...)
For eye shadow bases I like to use a primer and cream eye shadows. This week I broke out my Lorac Behind the Scenes eye primer. I got this with my Pro palette and it's really nice. I find it works better than UD Primer Potion for me. The cream eye shadows I brought out this week are Mac's Rubenesque Paint Pot and Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige (This color was limited edition.) I'm in love with the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Taupe and Brown, honestly the best eye pencils I have ever used.
I'm also trying out the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Retro Glam Mascara this week. I received it in my Spring Vox Box and you should be seeing a review of that pop up late next week!
And finally my go to brow product is the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde.

I don't usually do a whole lot with lips for everyday... gloss is my best friend. This week I decided to throw Almay Liquid Lip Balm in Cantaloupe Cream, Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss in Sunset Peach and L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Aqua Lacquer Lip Stain in Rose On and On.

I'm going to try to really stick to these products this week and hope that my basket doesn't end up over flowing like the week before. I'll let you know next week.

What's your make up bag look like at the end of the week?

Week in Pictures #1

So this week has had it's ups and downs, luckily more ups. Over last weekend we decided to replace the old gross carpet in my bedroom. I basically went to the store, found the softest carpet and it was done. When we moved all of the stuff our of my room the cat decided she wanted to sleep in one of my dresser drawers.

I also had a bit of a grumpy cat on my hands, she refuses to leave my room ever since I redid it.

A typical PA spring/summer consists of road work and thunderstorms.

Had a nice trip to Sheetz, decided to give this stuff a go. I also picked up some Sour Patch Kids flavored gum, which was sadly not sour at all.

Overall, this week was pretty successful, I can only hope that next week is the same.

How was your week?

A Little Morning Skin Care

I try to keep my skin care routine pretty simple, I find that works best for my normal/combo/acne prone skin.

In the morning I start out with something exfoliating to get all of the grime and guck off my skin from the night before. I switch between using Korres Wold Rose Daily Brightening & Refining Buff Cleanser (a mouth full) and Yes to Grapefruit Correct and Repair Daily Facial Scrub. Both of these smell divine, and leave my skin feeling smooth and ready for toner and moisturizer.

Next up: Toner. I'm not really into toners per say. I usually use my own special mix of water and some tea tree oil to disinfect and feel excess oils at bay. On really hot and humid days, I like to use Boots Botanics Shine Away Mattifying Toner. I don't like to use this daily because I feel like it really stripes the skin of every bit of natural oil.

For eye cream I've been using the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Eye Cream. I really enjoy using this eye cream, it works really well under make up, no funny smell and it actually seems to be helping. I picked it up on a whim in Target because it said it had AHAs which are good for fighting milia.

Moisturize me. (For all my fellow Doctor Who fans.) Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer is my favorite for using in the morning. It's moisturizing with out feeling too heavy or oily on the skin. But let's be honest.... I'm a sucker for anything citrus!

What's your morning routine?
